Today is Saturday, and this is Story Time! Here is a short story about a change of plans:


đź’¬ The Story

“I really wanted to play football today, but look at the rain! 🌧️ So, I decided to call off the game. Now, I’m just going to stay in, order pizza, and watch a movie.”


đź§  Did You See the Phrasal Verbs?

❌ Call off

This means to cancel a planned event. Example: “I called off the game.”


🏠 Stay in

This means to stay at home and not go out. Example: “I’m going to stay in tonight.”

These two phrasal verbs are extremely common in real English conversations.

Stay in = Stay home 🏠
