Hello everyone, and welcome to On Your Mark’s English.
Today is Wednesday, and this is Real English Expressions! 💬
We’re learning the perfect phrase to use when the answer isn’t just “Yes” or “No.”
The phrase is: “It depends…”
We use this when the answer changes based on the situation.
🌦 Example
Someone asks: “Do you walk to work?”
Well, if it’s sunny, you walk, but if it’s raining, you take the bus.
So you say: “It depends on the weather.”☀️🌧️
⚠️ Be Careful
Always say: depends on ✅ Not: depends of ❌
✅ Say: “It depends on the price.”✅ Say: “It depends on my mood.”
🧠 Remember
It depends… = The answer changes. Use it when things are not always the same.
✍️ Your Turn!
I ask you: “Do you like spicy food?” 🌶️Answer using It depends on… in the comments down below.
