The Motto for New Year's Eve
Tonight is the night! The clock is ticking toward midnight.
In English, we have a very famous saying for this exact moment:
"Out with the old, in with the new."
Where does it come from?
It is often associated with ringing bells.
In the past, people would ring bells to "drive out" the old year and "ring in" the new one. Today, we use it for Change and Optimism.
How to use it:
1. For Cleaning (Decluttering) 🧹
If you are cleaning your house to prepare for the new year, you can say this as you throw things in the trash!
"Look at all these broken toys. Out with the old, in with the new!"
2. For Mindset (Moving On) 🧠
This is the most powerful way to use it.
If you had a bad year in 2025, use this phrase to tell yourself that 2026 will be better.
"I am done with being lazy. Out with the old, in with the new."
