Merry Christmas from On Your Mark's English! A special cover of White Christmas.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas...

Hello everyone! Today is December 24th, Christmas Eve. 🎄

I decided to do something different today. No grammar rules. No vocabulary lists. No homework! Instead, I wanted to share a song with you.

Why "White Christmas"?

This song was written by Irving Berlin and made famous by Bing Crosby.

It is actually the best-selling single of all time!

For me, living in China away from my home in Ireland, this song feels very special.

It is about remembering the "Christmases of the past."

(Special thanks to Piano Karaoke Channel for the beautiful instrumental track!)

Key Vocabulary (Okay, just a little bit of learning!)

Even in a song, we can learn English:

  1. Glisten ✨: To shine with a sparkling light (like snow or wet streets).

    • Lyric: "Where the tree tops glisten..."

  2. Sleigh 🛷: A sled pulled by horses (or reindeer!).

    • Lyric: "To hear sleigh bells in the snow..."

My Wish for You

Thank you for being part of the On Your Mark's English community this year.

Whether you are a new student or you have been following me for a long time,

I appreciate you.

I hope your days are merry and bright. See you in the New Year!

Mark
