Monday Vocabulary: 10 Verbs to Describe Your Daily Life

🎥 Watch the video version of this lesson above!

Welcome to a new week!

When you first start learning English, you usually learn a lot of nouns (Table, Bed, Floor)

But if you want to speak fluently, you need action verbs.

If you spend your Saturday cleaning the house, you shouldn't just say "I cleaned."

Today, we are learning 10 specific verbs that make your English sound more descriptive and natural.

Beyond the word "Clean" 💡

  • For Surfaces:

Use Wipe for light cleaning (like a table) and Scrub for heavy cleaning (like a dirty floor).

  • For Laundry:

First, you sort the clothes (colours/whites), and after they are dry, you fold them.

  • For Order:

Use tidy when you are just putting things away, and organise when you are creating a new system (like alphabetising your books)

How to Practice Today:

Look around your room right now.

Pick one object and think of the action verb that goes with it.

  • Example: The bookshelf -> I need to dust the bookshelf.

Your Turn

Let's practice!

Which of these 10 actions did you do already today?
