Hello everyone, and welcome to On Your Mark’s English.
Today is Tuesday, and this is Grammar Made Easy! 📚
We’re learning the difference between so and such.
Both words mean “very” or “to a great degree,” but the grammar rules are different.
🎬 SO + Adjective
We use so before an adjective (with no noun after it).Example: “The movie was so good.”
☀️ SUCH + Noun Phrase
We use such before an adjective + noun.
Example: “It was such a good movie.”
🔍 Let’s Compare
• “It is so hot.” (Adjective only)
• “It is such a hot day.” (Adjective + noun)
🧠 Remember
So + adjectiveSuch + (a/an) + adjective + noun
✍️ Your Turn!
Complete this sentence: “He is ______ a nice person.” Is it so or such?
