Hello everyone, and welcome to On Your Mark’s English! 👋
Today is Friday, and this is English in Use!
We’re learning how to agree with people naturally using: So do ,I and Neither do I.
These are very common ways to say “Me too”, but the one you use depends on the type of sentence.
✔️ Positive Sentence (+): So do I
If the sentence is positive, use So do I.
Example: Friend: “I love coffee.” ☕️You: “So do I.” This means: I love it too.
❌ Negative Sentence (-): Neither do I
If the sentence is negative (using don’t or doesn’t), use Neither do I.
Example: Friend: “I don’t like spiders.” 🕷️You: “Neither do I.”
This means: I don’t like them either.
🧠 Quick Summary
Positive (+) → So do I. Negative (-) → Neither do I.
These expressions make your English sound natural, friendly, and native-like.
✍️ Your Turn!
I say, “I don’t like waking up early.” 😴Do you agree?
